Thai Yoga Massage im Sitzen

Thai Yoga Bodywork is, like traditional yoga, a meditation in motion. Mindful touches, gentle acupressure and stretches create a deep sense of relaxation, allowing you to connect with yourself in a safe and nurturing space, while fully experiencing the present moment.

Thai Yoga Bodywork, also known as Thai Yoga Massage, originates from Indian healing traditions and is based on the principles of yoga and Ayurveda. It is a gentle and effective form of massage that combines various techniques such as acupressure and stretching techniques with different passive yoga postures. The massage is performed along the body’s natural energy pathways (known as "sen lines") from the feet to the head. Different energy lines and acupressure points are massaged using the hands (palming and thumbing), forearms, elbows, knees and even the feet. The goal is to release tension and blockages on both physical and mental levels, allowing the energy to flow freely through the entire body.

During a Thai Yoga session, I guide you through a series of yoga asanas through stretching, bending and twisting movements while sinking into deeper tissue layers by using only my body weight.

The practice is dynamic as well as deeply relaxing, meditative, and centering - encouraging the body to find a natural balance between energy and calm. The gentle touches have a regulating and calming effect on the nervous system and helps to relieve muscle tension and pain, enhance flexibility, stimulate blood circulation and strengthen the immune system and self-healing abilities.

Thai Yoga massage is performed in comfortable clothing on a mat on the floor.
